The future of housing association support for young residents
The National Housing Federation and CIH are supporting Groundwork and partners,
Ford Partnership Management, Sanctuary and Youth Access, in its work with housing associations and others
to provide new forms of services for young residents.
The Young People Friendly Neighbourhood Programme has shown how we can change the perception of young people from
- a cost to be minimised - cutting nuisance and antisocial behaviour
- to an asset to be grown and developed through investment - developing
future residents, young activists and participants in improving the quality of
life for all.
We are holding an invitation only seminar for key leaders of housing associations
who work with young people.
You are invited to nominate a representative who is responsible for
(or makes a substantive contribution to) the strategic direction of your work with
young people.
Places are available in Leeds on 20 March and London on 21 March. The seminars
are free and run from 9.30 am to 2pm.
The half day seminar will:
- Explore organisational models for securing long term solutions for
supporting young people and the role and place of housing associations and RSLs;
- Clarify what strategic leaders in housing associations need to do to build
the case for new ways of working both internally and with partners externally.
