Get Ready!
Business in the Community have launched Get Ready! to support people who
are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
The scheme's aim is to help people:
- develop aspirations through training and activities
- understand local employment opportunities
- build skills and confidence to move onto a more intensive programme
like Ready for Work.
How you can help
- Tell front line staff and managers of homeless support schemes about us
- Host a training session for our clients
Trafford Housing Trust welcomed a group of 12 Ready for Work clients
into their headquarters for a World of Work visit including:
- a tour of the business
- meeting staff from various roles
- learning about recruitment processes and practices
- training on how to succeed at assessment centres
- Think about providing two week work placements
